Torque Android AppWith Torque Android app, you can see all kinds of live data of your vehicle on your android smartphone, and you can check what causes check engine light to turn on. It can also use the GPS to provide tracker logs with engine logging so you can see what and where you are doing.

The app works on any vehicle that uses the OBD2 system. (most vehicles built after 1996 in the U.S. use OBD2), if in doubt check with your owner’s manual or look for ‘OBD2’ on written on a big white label in the engine room.
Some advanced features may or may not be supported, depending on manufacturers and models.

The app needs a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter to work. The adapter are powered by the vehicle via DLC (Data Link Connector). After you plug into DLC the adapter is needed to be paired with your cell phone or tablet.

The best high performance Bluetooth OBD adapter is OBDLink MX. If you buy one of the cheap china-made adapters you should check the seller’s feedback, warranty and return policy.

Torque pro cost as little as $4.95. You can always try free version (Torque Lite). Although it is free, it is not a trial version (no expiration) and it has all basic features. Unlike other apps, there aren’t any stupid restrictions such as showing only up to 3 codes, no live data at all and so on.

Keep updating the app. The app is always improving. More features are added every update. It’s the best OBD Android app ever!!!

Torque is for only Android. If you use iOS devices such as iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, click here.
