Automatic LLC has shut down all its service on May 28th, 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. The company offers a rebate, and the due date of the rebate submission is June 15th, 2020.
Automatic OBD2 adapters used to a cellular network for vehicle tracking. The service was not subscription-based. It was included in the purchase price of the adapter. Thus, because of the sudden shutdown, the company offers a rebate. The rebate amount depends on the usage of the service, type of adapter, and purchase price. I have three Automatic adapters. Among them, the Pro and CCA are eligible for the rebate. The adapter on the right is the 2nd Gen that is not eligible.
A purchase price may reflect on the rebate amount. So if the purchase price is more than the price shown in the website or rebate form, you should attach a copy of the receipt to the rebate form.
I bought the Pro at Best Buy for $129.99 while the website shows $109.99. So, I attached the email receipt to the rebate form.
Conversely, I bought the CCA for $59.99 at Amazon.com while the website shows $79.99. So, I didn’t attach the receipt to the rebate form.
I hope this way gives me as much rebate amount as possible.
The rebate will be sent to your email address in a form of electronic Visa gift card in 6 to 8 weeks.
Again, the due date of the rebate submission is June 15th, 2020. Please don’t forget.
